History of the
company/bank:
Aéroports de Paris (ADP) was set up by government decree on October 24, 1945. It is a public - sector company under the authority of the minister in charge of civil aviation, with an autonomous financial status.

Its brief is to design, build and run all airports and airfields open to civil aircraft within a radius of 50 kms of the French capital. ADP has authority over fourteen airports and airfields spred over this area (Le Bourget, Orly, Roissy - Charles de Gaulle, Toussus - le - Noble, Chavenay - Villepreux, Coulommiers - Voisins, Pontoise - Cormeilles, Chelles - Le Pin, Lognes - Emerainville, Meaux - Esbly, Persan - Beaumont, Saint - Cyr l´Ecole, Issy - les - Moulineaux and Etampes - Mondésir).

Since the sixties, ADP has also developed a policy of technical airport engineering cooperation, both in France and abroad, that has allowed the company to export its know - how worldwide.

The history of the company whose staff ranged from 200 people in 1945 up to more than 7,000 people in 1998, is closely associated to the civil air transport development policy.
